Stan Meresman is a professional independent Director, Audit Committee Chair, advisor & mentor. He advises CEOs & CFOs on preparing to be a public reporting company, IPO process, operating as a public company, and scaling the company for rapid growth. He is a "financial expert”. Currently, Stan is a director of LinkedIn (LNKD), Palo Alto Networks (PANW), Zynga (ZNGA), and several private companies. 

 

As a CFO, Stan has taken a company public (Cypress Semiconductor), served as CFO of two NYSE-listed companies (Silicon Graphics, Inc. and Cypress Semiconductor). As Chair of the Audit Committee, he has guided four companies through their successful IPO (LinkedIn, Zynga, Riverbed Technology, Polycom).

Currently, Stan is a board member of LinkedIn (LNKD), where he is also Chair of Audit Committee and member of Compensation Committee, and member of Governance/Nominating Committee; board member of Palo Alto Networks (PANW), where his is a member of Audit Committee; and board member of Zynga (ZNGA), where is Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Governance/Nominating Committee; as well as several private companies.

 

Previously boards that Stan has served included Riverbed Technology (RVBD), Polycom (PLCM), Meru Networks (MERU) and VMware (as a private company), as well as others. He had been General Partner and COO of Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), a private equity and venture capital firm focused on growth technology companies.

 

Earlier in his career, Stan was SVP & CFO of Silicon Graphics (NYSE) where revenue grew from $250 million to $3.8 billion, completed four acquisitions and a dozen strategic alliances. Previously, Stan was VP, Finance & Administration and CFO of Cypress Semiconductor (NYSE) where revenue grew from $2 million to over $100 million and successfully completed its IPO. 

Stan received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business; and B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley. He has attended Stanford Law School Directors' College Corporate Governance programs. Stan was a panel speaker NYSE IPO BOARD FORUM "Building Boards” December 2013.

 

Stan currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Community Board, Carmel Bach Festival Foundation and Sunset Cultural Center, Carmel. He previously served on the Board of Trustees & Treasurer of Castilleja School, Palo Alto, and as Chair of the Board of Family Service Mid-Peninsula, Palo Alto.
