Stan is a Board Member, Audit Committee Chair, advisor & coach. He advises CEOs and CFOs on getting ready to be a public reporting company, IPO process, operating as a public company. and scaling the company for rapid growth. He is a "financial expert". As CFO, Stan has taken a company public (Cypress Semiconductor), served as CFO of two NYSE-listed companies (Silicon Graphics - SGI, Cypress Semiconductor). As Chair of the Audit Committee of the Board, Stan has guided four companies successfully through their IPO process successfully (LinkedIn, Zynga, Riverbed Technology , Polycom ).

Stan is a board member of LinkedIn (LNKD),Chair of Audit Committee (a financial expert) & member of their Compensation Committee & Governance/Nominating Committee; board member of Zynga (ZNGA),Chair of Audit Committee and member of Governance/Nominating Committee; board member of private companies ModCloth, HyTrust and Turn.

Previously, Stan was on the board of Meru Networks , Riverbed Technology , Polycom and VMware. He was general manager and COO of Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), a private equity and venture capital firm focused on growth technology companies (11/2001 – 12/2004).

Stan was Senior Vice President and CFO of Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI NYSE-listed) where revenue grew from $250 million to $3.8 billion, and the company completed four acquisitions and more than a dozen strategic alliances. Previously, Stan was VP, Finance and Administration and CFO of Cypress Semiconductor (CY-NYSE) where revenue grew from $2 million to over $100 million and successfully completed its IPO. At both SGI and Cypress, Stan was part of the executive team that was selected for Stanford Business School’s “Entrepreneurial Company of the Year” award.

Stan earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business; and B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley. Attended Stanford Law School Directors’ College corporate governance program in June 2010. Stan has been a guest lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Engineering Capital Formation Course for graduate students.

He previously served on the Board of Trustees & Treasurer of Castilleja School, Palo Alto, and as Chair of the Board of Family Service Mid-Peninsula, Palo Alto. He had served as President of the Board of the Financial Executives Institute (FEI), Silicon Valley Chapter.
