Stan is a professional independent director of high-growth technology companies.
Currently, Stan is a director of
Palo Alto Networks (PANW),
Zynga (ZNGA), and several private companies.
Over several occasions, Stan began his board service with a company with revenue under $5 million
and continued through a period of growth exceeding $600 million
(Polycom and Riverbed Technology). On four occasions, as chair of the audit committee,
Stan has helped guide the company through the IPO process, and reporting as a public company:
Riverbed Technology (RVBD),
Previously boards that Stan has served included
Riverbed Technology (RVRB),
Meru Networks (MERU) and
VMware (as a private company).
He had been General Partner and COO of
Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV),
a private equity and venture capital firm focused on growth technology companies.
Earlier in his career, Stan was Senior Vice President and CFO of
Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI NYSE-listed)
where revenue grew from $250 million to $3.8 billion. Previously, Stan was VP, Finance and Administration and CFO of
Cypress Semiconductor (CY-NYSE)
where revenue grew from $2 million to over $100 million and successfully completed its IPO.
Stan receive his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business;
and B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research
from the University of California, Berkeley.
He has attended Stanford Law School Directors' College corporate governance program.
Previously, Stan was elected as President of the Board of the Financial Executives Institute (FEI), Silicon Valley Chapter.
He was a panel speaker NYSE IPO Board Forum "Building Boards" in December 2013.
Stan currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Community Board,
Carmel Bach Festival Foundation and Sunset Cultural Center, Carmel.
He previously served on the Board of Trustees & Treasurer of Castilleja School, Palo Alto,
and as Chair of the Board of Family Service Mid-Peninsula, Palo Alto.
